FRENCH BRAND ALPINE is best known for making lightweight and agile sports cars. Those are two traits that don’t typically go hand in hand with electric cars, but they’re exactly what the Renault-owned company is aiming for with its all-new A390 electric SUV.
In fact, Alpine wants to break the mould by disguising the car’s two-tonne heft and making it feel like a sports car to drive. A pretty tall order, we’re sure you’ll agree, and it’s one that Lotus failed to achieve with its Eletre SUV.
