BODYLITE NightVision Jacket
€99.99|S-XL|bodylitegear.com|Tester Rachel I
Bodylite is a new brand to me and I’m seriously impressed. The Irish indie focuses on high-vis kit for runners and walkers. This jacket is soft, light and comfy.
There’s enough space to move but it’s not so big that it flaps around while you run. It has vents under the arms, down the sides and on the upper part of the back, and it’s water resistant. You can buy a compatible NightVision Light and Free Belt which attaches to this jacket perfectly, meaning no bounce and no annoyance as you run. A small confession: I like the functionality and safety you get with this jacket but I like the way it looks even more!
DECATHLON Kalenji Reflecting Hooded Running Jacket

This jacket is not waterproof but ‘water repellent’, so it isn’t suitable to wear in rainfall that is any heavier than a light drizzle. I tested it on some wintry runs, and it kept the chill out without me getting too hot thanks to the strategically placed air vents. The reflective pattern covers the whole body and arms and glowed well in light, so this works best as a reflective layer for staying safe on roadside after-dark runs, rather than as a wet weather staple. Great value as ever from Decathlon.
