JOINT STRENGTH
Exercises to protect and strengthen your joints Workout created by: Anne-Marie Lategan
Running is a linear movement and overusing the same muscles in the same way over a period of time can lead to stiffness, especially during the winter months.
Maintaining your mobility can reduce your risk of pain and stiffness. In this workout, we show you how building the muscles around your joints can increase your joint stability and reduce strain.
Sets and reps
Perform three sets of 10 repetitions.
Warmup
March on the spot for one minute followed by rotating your hips in a circular movement. Do 10 reps clockwise and 10 anti-clockwise.
