THE GRIM CHALLENGE
The GRIM is one of the original muddy/trail/obstacle races that dates all the way back to 2003 and takes place on tank training ground in Aldershot. Covid prevented the race from happening in 2020, but 2021 sees its much-anticipated return. Organisers will use the same course and format as in previous years; you can opt for the main race, which extends over eight muddy miles, or you can choose a lighter version at four miles. The GRIM is a tough trail race so expect to get cold, wet and dirty; in a few places, you will find yourself crawling under cargo nets or wading through waist-high water. And beware, you gung-ho runners: the distances may not sound daunting but don’t take this lightly; on a cold December morning, the GRIM is definitely a challenge. 5 December, 2021 Army Tank Training Areas, Fleet Road, Aldershot, 209events.com
