1 When and where did your journey as an author begin?
My writing journey began in 2012 after reading fifty books in a month. I was a stay-at-home mother to my eldest daughter, who had special needs, and to my one-year-old little girl. Reading had suddenly become my escape, but none of the books I read had characters that looked like I did. So I decided to write my own. Representation is very important to me.
