A group of engineering students are examining if a district heating system would be feasible in Brodick.
The seven Glasgow University students are taking part in the project, in conjunction with North Ayrshire Council, to explore ways of reducing the cost of heating on Arran by using a district hearing network supplied by heat pumps.
