Combat Aircraft Journal  |   December 2017
The Feature Article in the December issue of Combat Aircraft is dedicated to the US Marine Corps EA-6B Prowler. With sundown for this type set for 2019, we look at the Prowler’s ‘last crusade’.
The issue also ties in the new era of electronic attack with a feature on VAQ-129 ‘Vikings’ — the EA-18G training squadron for the US Navy. We also look at training new Naval Aviators with the first of a two-part feature on T-45C operations at NAS Meridian.
The issue also includes a look at the Northrop Grumman X-47B, which was set to enter the US Navy’s MQ-25 Stingray competition, but was dramatically withdrawn in October. Our USAF unit review is the 115th Fighter Wing, Wisconsin ANG.
