The fourth annual UK Americana Awards takes place on 31 January 2019 at Hackney Empire. Iconic singer-songwriter Graham Nash OBE will receive its highest honour – the 2019 Lifetime Achievement Award – while the Bob Harris Emerging Artist Award goes to London five-piece Curse Of Lono. See opposite for shortlists of other (selected) awards. Graham Nash and Curse Of Lono will perform on the night, as well as many other guest artists. (The 2018 Awards saw an all-star jam between Robert Plant, Mumford & Sons and more!) The UK Americana Awards night itself is part of AmericanaFest UK, a three-day event which will include guest speakers Rhiannon Giddens and Ray Benson (from Asleep At The Wheel), while John Oates (the Hall & Oates man has his own solo Americana LP) will be interviewed on stage by Bob Harris.
