Trashy food made good seems to have become the meat of London food trends – and this column.
We’ve had doughnuts, burgers, fried chicken… and now the cheese toastie. While I wouldn’t sniff at the Kingsmill/cheap cheddar/Breville option of yore, when the toastie is taken up a level it’s something else.
