How dance and music helped my recovery

Dance and music has helped me a lot with my mental health. I feel if I didn’t have dance and my creativity, I don’t know how I would have got through my mental illness. During my early days of suffering with depression it was dance that helped me get through every day.

As soon as I went in the dance studio, I would forget about all of my problems. I would be enjoying the music, enjoy moving and enjoy being around other people dancing. It wasn’t until after I left the studio I would really start to feel down.
