Issue Cover

MMM  |  August 2012

Welcome to the August issue of MMM, the UK's best-selling motorhome magazine for the past 46 years.

In this packed issue, you can find motorhome paradise with our travel writers as they head to the French Alps, dawdle along the undiscovered banks of the Loir and wander into the Czech Republic. Closer to home, out intrepid motorhoming writers drive north to the Shetland Islands, discover loads of wildlife in Scotland's Dumfries and Galloway, head off on a Tewkesbury tale and meander along a Cornish walk from St Agnes.

With the European motorhome launches well under way, there is news on what Hobby, Carthago, Dethleffs and Laika have in store for us in 2013. Meanwhile MMM's testers have been scrutinising the Bailey Approach SE 745 and the Rapido 646B, while there are also reader reports on a 2010 Auto-Sleeper Warwick Duo and a 2008 Hymer C662.

And, this issue has a treat in store for those of you looking to buy a large used motorhome as we focus on what to look for when buying a pre-loved A-class. We also pick six great examples currently on the market.

With the summer we're enjoying (or not) we also have some timely advice on how not to get your motorhome stuck in the mud and what to do if it is. And, when the sun does shine, we explain how to maximise the power you get from your solar panel.

There is also advice for the more technically-minded of you with an in-depth article explaining how to adapt a Fiat fifth gear for more relaxed cruising.

Of course, there are also the usual motorhome features and articles in this issue, including a buyers' guide, seven pages of technical questions and answers and competitions with prizes worth over £1,200 to be won.

Happy reading and happy motorhoming!
Britain’s best-selling motorhome and motorcaravan magazine for the past 50 years.
Written by motorhomers for motorhomers.
Each month, MMM is packed with inspiring motorhome travel features, covering destinations both at home and abroad. These travel features are written by real motorhomers, so when they say an area makes a perfect destination for motorhomes, you can be sure it does.
The tested section in every issue of MMM sees a team of reviewers put the latest motorhomes through a detailed and comprehensive road test. MMM has earned an enviable reputation for producing motorhome reviews that are some of the most in-depth new vehicle tests you will find in print.
Every issue of MMM is also packed with much more, including new and used motorhome buying advice, the latest motorhome news and interviews, touring tests, technical tips, expert advice and pages of readers’ letters. With a typical issue containing over 300 pages, it is little wonder MMM continues to be Britain's favourite motorhome magazine!

Travel pages are the best! Reviewed Thursday, March 23, 2017
I read this to live the dream. I don't have a motorhome YET!!!!! but like to look at this mag. to see what's waiting for me when I do. LOADS of places to trigger travel envy. FANTABULOUS pictures. It gets better and better and there are some great writers. The Devon article by the travel ed. Helen Werin is brilliant and so is the Spain one by Penny Rennolds. Worth buying the mag. just for these.. Keep up the good work MMM.
