A nostalgic musical trip back to the formative years of 20th century American Jazz returns to Skye on Sunday as part of SEALL’s continuing autumn programme.
London’s hard-swinging vintage jazz band the Dime Notes play Sabhal Mor Ostaig, An Talla Mhòr, on Sunday night (October 28).
The band dig back into the blues-drenched sounds of clarinet-driven 1920s’ New Orleans jazz, unearthing a repertoire of stomps, blues, swing and forgotten gems of the era from musicians such as Johnny Dodds, Jelly Roll Morton and Red Nichols.
