Seals at the Scottish Sealife Sanctuary will go head to head in their own football match this Saturday.
Lora, Macey, Pippa and Boo will be taking to the ‘pitch’ at noon for their own match with guests cheering on their favourite flippered footballer. The centre decided to give the animals their own ‘World Cup worthy’ game aTher the four resident seals showed a keen interest in football. Anna Price at The Scottish Sea Life Sanctuary, based at Barcaldine, said: ‘The seals just love football. Not only does it keep their brains active, but they get very competitive.
They love to chase the ball and even tackle each other to get possession. Lora is definitely our best shot but Pippa can be crafty and likes stealing the ball from the others. It’s great fun to watch and Boo even has his own celebratory goal dance. We can’t wait to share the experience with visitors.’
