Oban High School students and their counterparts from Laurinburg, North Carolina, USA, were recently guests of honour at a Rotary Club of Oban lunch in the town’s Perle Hotel.
Now in its 26th year, the Laurinburg Exchange involves visiting students being housed by Oban High School pupils, giving them the chance to experience life with a Scottish family, including local food and culture. The Rotary Club of Oban, in addition to hosting the lunch, has supported the exchange financially since its inception and the visiting Americans all testiThed to the friendliness of the local people and the magnificent scenery.
