Outdoor Photography Magazine June 2010 Back Issue

English 231 Reviews   •  English   •   Art & Photography (Photography) Only $7.99
Blimey, how time fl ies when you are having fun! Back in 2000, a year that saw us all breathing a sigh of relief because the much feared Y2K bug barely caused a computer murmur, and Al Gore and George W. Bush squabbling over who had really won the race for the White House, there were stirrings of a slightly diff erent kind here in Lewes, East Sussex. Just as I am sat here now, writing to you, Keith Wilson was scribing the very first editor's letter in the launch issue of Outdoor Photography. He wrote, 'For every photographer who has had their work published, there are hundreds more who derive great pleasure and satisfaction from a day out with the camera.' Very little has changed there; for sure, the explosion in outlets for imagery has meant many photographers can now use the word 'published' in their conversations, but there are still many more who simply go out there week aft er week purely for the pleasure of taking photographs and being in our wild places.
