Our cooling system tests continue with the second test at the water pump bench: this time we check the differences of the new generation of Righetti Ridolfi.

Our journey in discovering the kart cooling system continues, something that in theory we all know very well, also because we are physically forced to “put it together” it on the kart and handle it in a “primitive” way with the curtain. But a somewhat more scientific and focused analysis has been bringing up plenty of surprises. In this phase, we recall, we have begun to verify the behavior of water pumps through a specially designed test bench. In the first episode we found ourselves a little “short”: pushing the available pumps required more power than the electric motor used to power the pumps themselves were able to provide. This time, for this second episode, we have instead used a more powerful source of energy, which managed to reach rotational speeds much closer to those actually found in the current and actual use of karts on the track. We would, of course, have liked to go even further.
