Lexus NX

It may look very familiar, but this NX brings a lot of new offerings to the table. Primary among them is a plug-in hybrid powertrain (a first for any Lexus) that mixes a 2.5-litre atmo four-pot petrol engine with two electric motors, giving it a combined 302bhp and an electric-only range of 40 miles. Meanwhile, the regular 2.5-litre hybrid is 22% more powerful than before, at 239bhp, yet emits 10% less CO 2 . The Mk2 NX should also be sharper to drive, thanks to a stiffer body and a 20mm-lower centre of gravity. The interior is said to be roomier, comfier and plusher, plus it gains a new touchscreen infotainment system.
