Finland’s oldest ceramics producer has been making collectable pieces since 1873. Possibly its most famous range depicts the Moomins, the characters created by Tove Jansson (above right), but lovers of mid-century modern are more often drawn to its timeless, bold, patterned tableware, such as the Tuokio range, by design duo Helorinne & Kallio (above, top right). Prices vary, from just a few pounds per piece to thousands.
