Scotland launches net zero plan
The Scottish government has set out its Heat in Buildings strategy, aiming to achieve net zero in the nation’s buildings by 2045. By 2030, the strategy aims to see a large majority of Scottish housing benefit from improved building fabric with an EPC rating of at least C. All homes are to meet this standard by 2033. In addition, one million homes should have net-zero heating systems by 2030. As well as being eco friendly, the hope is the measures will help lift people out of fuel poverty.
