Transfer WhatsApp chats from iOS to Android
WhatsApp now lets you transfer your chats from an iPhone to an Android phone without using a separate app. The transferrable data includes your account information, individual and group chats, your chat and call history, and photos and videos you’ve sent and received.
To start the transfer, open WhatsApp’s Settings on your iPhone and choose Chats then ‘Transfer chat history’. Select ‘Transfer to Android’ (see screenshot below), tap ‘Continue’ and WhatsApp will prepare the chat data.
On your Android phone, open WhatsApp and verify your account with the same number you use on your iPhone. When prompted, tap Allow to enable your devices to connect. Use your iPhone’s camera to scan the QR code and tap Join to connect to the Wi-Fi network if not already connected.
Once the transfer is complete, tap Next on your Android phone to view your chats and start using WhatsApp. To transfer from Android to iOS, you need Apple’s ‘Move to iOS’ app (www.snipca. com/58536), but you can still move chats from one Android phone to another.
