Making Cards & Papercraft Magazine December 2015 Back Issue

December?! Wow! 2015 for me has felt like the fastest year! But then, looking back to editions earlier in the year they feel like a life time ago! So about this issue...

Thank you to Hunkydory who have kindly allowed us to showcase some of their beautiful Traditional Christmas artwork as your free craft papers with this edition. These wonderful illustrations have been made into beautiful cards by Emma, I hope you enjoy working with them as much as Emma said she did.

Elsewhere the magazine has some fantastic (I think!) projects! Faye shares a superb tutorial on how to colour snow, very handy for this time of year, and another focussing on the ‘zoom’ technique; teaching how you don’t need to use the whole of a digi stamp every time and how different results can be achieved from the same stamp purchase (very economical for this expensive time of year!). Isha has created some absolutely adorable cards using Lawn Fawn products! They include a tiny snowglobe card which is now homed on my desk just so I can look at it over and over again!!

For those of you who like traditional - Emma Williams has used a beautiful nativity scene die by Lea’bilities, a first for this brand in Making Cards, in our Designs with a difference project while Laura Williams (no relation!) uses a less formal design of stamps from Hobby Art, part of their new range for Christmas 2015.

Thank you to all that have contributed to Making Cards throughout 2015! Welcome to new contributor Deb Steele in this edition too!

I will end by wishing you all a very merry and crafty Christmas. I hope that the festive season is good to you all!

I'd like to see a bigger variety of papers. Love what you do, but very similar often. Soft florals, cute critters etc, would be lovely. Reviewed 20 February 2020
