PORTERBROOK
ROLLING stock owner Porterbrook has released images of the new JNA-X box wagon – 50 of which are being produced in Romania by Greenbrier for use by GB Railfreight.
Deliveries of the order, which was confirmed earlier this year, are due to be completed in October.
With an over buffer length of 13.97 metres and a capacity of 60 cubic metres, the vehicles are designed to carry bulk products, optimising tare weight, volume capacity and payload. Their box structure is fabricated from high-strength steel, which is aimed to give structural reliability and longevity. The bogies on the wagons are designed to reduce track wear.
