A large community crowd of more than 1000 people attended the
One Sea, Many Cultures Multi Cultural Festival throughout the
day and into the evening last Friday, 18 September, on Waiben (Thursday Island).
Local carver and artist Anson Dorante, known for his incredible
woodwork, has facilitated his very first interactive Kulap/Gorr
Making Public Program at the Gab Titui Cultural Centre supported by the Torres Strait Regional Authority (TSRA).
The atmosphere was electric at the Ken Brown Oval when
Suburbs won over Roosters, 38-10, in the Island Roosters Cup
grand final earlier this month.
