DANZA&DANZA International

September/October Our cover story is dedicated to Kyle Abraham, exploring his artistic journey through memory – which forms the basis of his work “Cassette Vol. 1”, coming to Italy in October. In this issue, you’ll find all the ‘back-to-work’ events, the must-see shows and festivals, and reviews of the summer’s debuts, from Festival dei Due Mondi, Venice Biennale Danza, Hamburg Ballet, Montpellier Danse, Simon Le Borgne, The Royal Ballet. We also meet Matteo Miccini, the Italian Principal dancer on the cusp of new adventures, whilst in the ‘A Director reflects’ column, we feature Kevin O’Hare, the Royal Ballet guide, alongside the director of the Royal Ballet School, Iain Mackay, in the occasion of its 100th anniversary whilst continuing to produce a steady stream of talent. In the culture section, there’s an intriguing feature on signature choreography in music videos and pop music tours. We pay a fitting tribute to Simone Forti, a seminal postmodern artist who passed away this summer.

The Pocketmags app runs on all iPad and iPhone devices running iOS 15.6 or above, Android 8.0 or above, and Amazon Fire Tablets from 2018 onwards, though owners of earlier Fire models can check the Amazon Appstore directly on their device to confirm compatibility.

For iOS users, we recommend using a device capable of running the latest version of iOS for optimal performance and stability, as older hardware with lower processing power and RAM may experience slower page rendering or occasional stability issues due to device memory limitations.
