May half-term is usually a yawning long week filled with bored kids who don’t have enough to do, and miserable parents who can’t run as much as they’d like. Not any more…
A three-day camping festival set in the stunning Bowood House and Gardens on 31 May-2 June, RunFestRun promises to be a fab weekend for the whole family. You (and them) can take part in routes ranging from a 2.5K fun run through to a half marathon (and you can do that twice, if you’re so inclined).
Running-wise, the weekend kicks off on Friday with a Sunset Shuffle around the grounds, moving quickly on to Saturday when the main bulk of the running occurs, finishing with a themed run and party on Sunday to finish things off. In between times, you can enjoy inspirational talks and workshops from legends such as Paula Radcliffe, Christine Ohuruogu and Steve Cram, alongside seasoned advice from Fearne Cotton and Chris Evans, who’s heading up the event.
