GLYNN PURNELL
The Brummie chef talks about his teenage idols, trotters and tattoos
INTERVIEW: KERRY FOWLER.
MY LIFE ON A PLATE

Glynn loved his mum’s pressure-cooked pig’s trotters and Monsieur Blanc’s book
HOME COOKING AND BLIND DATE
Mum was a good cook. We used to go to the market at the Bullring in Birmingham once a week and she’d come home with a free bag of pig’s trotters. They’d go in the pressure cooker until they fell apart. Early evening, I’d be in my pyjamas, sucking on a pig’s trotter watching Blind Date. We thought it was a massive treat.
