“With the arrival of May’s warmer days and sunshine, I relish the thought of weekend walks with friends and their dogs. But even more pleasing than the idea of heading outdoors is the knowledge that, with a bit of pre-walk prep, there’ll be big bowls of sustaining food awaiting our return. These recipes are the ultimate in low-maintenance cuisine – while you’re in the fresh air working up an appetite, they pretty much cook themselves. That’s my kind of cooking.”
