PRO TIP
LONG LENS 101
A telephoto lens is often regarded as a wildlife or sports lens, but its role as a tool for landscapes is underrated. A long lens is susceptible to camera shake, so if you are handholding, keep the shutter speed as fast as possible. Alternatively, use a tripod to steady the camera, switch off the Image Stabilisation system, particularly when using exposures longer than 1/30 sec, and fire the shutter via a cable release.
