Use Camera Raw to edit your jpegs
Adobe Camera Raw is full of useful functions but you can use it on more than raw files, as Wendy Evans explains
Before
With Adobe Camera Raw you can enhance and improve any old photo, including jpeg files.
While Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) was originally intended to be used on raw files being imported into W Lightroom – and, in this tutorial, Photoshop – it’s such a useful piece of software that Adobe made it available as a filter that could be used inside the main host application and on files such as jpegs. So, if you have some old photos that you didn’t shoot in raw format (naughty!) and want to see what you can make of them, this is the place to experiment.
