Spring sees warmer days with plenty of showers – the perfect conditions for insects to flourish and for you to brush up on your macro skills. The most critical of these is focusing – with macro photography, there is much less depth of field to play with and consequently, you often need to use narrower apertures, resulting in slower shutter speeds.
