1 THE RIGHT CAMERA KIT FOR SUBLIME SPRING SHOTS
With a busy year of shooting ahead, spring is the time to upgrade your kitbag for those sensational seasonal shots

While camera kit is important, it’s not the be-all-and-end-all. As long as you have even a basic DSLR or W mirrorless camera with manual controls, you should be good to go. But it is the ideal time to test your kit out properly and figure out the limitations that are holding you back. Perhaps the budget tripod you bought is making it difficult to get low to the ground for the landscapes you want to shoot, or maybe your lenses aren’t wide enough or focusing close enough? It’s the ideal time to trade in some old lenses and purchase new ones that work better for you. I’ve put some of my favourite kit for spring shots below, although it’s by no means a comprehensive list and you can, of course, cherry-pick the bits that work best for your setup and photographic style this spring.
