Social media is awash with travel imagery, with spectacular photographs of places from almost every corner of the planet. Indeed, with its location maps and tags, platforms such as Instagram are ideally designed to display travel shots. Due to the way social media algorithms work, there are many developing trends in image processing style that come in and out of fashion.
At one time, intense, bold colours were seemingly popular, though today, airy and slightly subdued tonality seems preferable. This Instagram ‘look’ is not difficult to achieve and, with a little experimentation, it is possible to tailor the process to your own style of shooting and subject choices.
