Moving house is said to be the third most stressful life event after the death of a loved one and divorce. Little wonder, since it must also be one of the most existentially terrifying: when you realise your life so far essentially amounts to everything held within these cardboard boxes, these physical remnants of the past, many with hopes, dreams and memories permanently attached.
