ABBOTT ELEMENTARY IS ELEVATING THE WORKPLACE COMEDY
BEFORE I BECAME a film and TV critic, I wanted to be a schoolteacher. The life lessons I learned while spending part of my childhood at a boarding school in Bath (’sup, Kingswood!) inspired me to want to help other kids on their journeys someday. Watching Abbott Elementary brought back memories of that early dream, but even if it had come to fruition it probably wouldn’t be quite as heartwarmingly sincere as Quinta Brunson’s breakout workplace comedy.
