BSB might not be flowing, but between instructing with James Whitham and trying to train with a broken hand it has been TT fortnight… so I’ve been spending my time in the hyperbaric chamber and enjoying the racing! One day I hope to be sat on the line racing this incredible event, alongside the NW200, the Ulster GP and maybe even a trip to Macau – but the Isle of Man is something special.
Of course it’s very easy to be Billy big nuts and say how much I would love to race here but the truth of the matter is that I might set off and by the time I get half way down Bray Hill, realise that my ‘big nuts’ have shrivelled back up inside myself and decide it’s not for me at all… however, for now I’m going to stick by what I say. I know the buzz I get on track and I can only imagine how much that must be intensified on closed roads. The riders are real gladiators of our sport and it’s still the racing that is at the forefront of what’s important.
