LANCASTER DOUBLE ACT
The cover of the August 2024 edition of FlyPast features the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum’s famous Avro Lancaster – one of only two that remain airworthy. Incredibly, it has been ten years since the Canadian Lancaster flew across the Atlantic to stage a particularly memorable airshow season alongside the UK-based Battle of Britain Memorial Flight’s Lancaster. In our cover story, Al Mickeloff reflects on an incredible journey and an even more incredible airshow year

FLYPAST CLASSICS: Avro Anson
In the latest of our collectible series, we focus on the history of the redoubtable Avro Anson. The beloved ‘Annie’ may have been outdated by the time World War Two reached a crescendo, but its crews soldiered on regardless

SEA FURY RETURNS
Formerly a Reno air racer, a Hawker Sea Fury is now flying with new owner Paul Bennet in Australia, as Gavin Conroy reveals

COMPETITION
Don’t miss your chance to win a flight in a two-seat Spitfire operated by Goodwood-based Spitfires.com

Digital subscription for Flypast magazine

I have purchased the Flypast magazine for many years and generally as a hard copy. However, for the last couple of years l have subscribed annually to the digital version and now read on my iPad.
The magazine is great and I always find the content interesting and varied and never bored with the topics covered. Whilst previously enjoying the hard copy l am now a devoted digital subscriber and would recommend this version. On the downside you miss out on add ons such as calendars etc.
