FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Eat mindfully
We oft en pile our plate and eat steadily until it’s all gone, sometimes in front of a screen (or two). Here’s an idea for the next few weeks: instead of eating lunch in front of your laptop or phone, put the screen away and really consider the food on your plate. Eat slowly and mindfully, enjoying each mouthful, and think about the colours, the textures and the tastes. Chewing carefully and savouring each bite will help you to appreciate your food, will engage your senses, and help maintain a healthy relationship with food.
