LATVIAN NATIONAL carrier airBaltic has signed a codesharing agreement with British Airways (BA). Under the deal BA passengers are now able to book flights to the capital, Riga, from Gatwick Airport on airBaltic services while the deal also opens up the BA network to airBaltic travellers. The Latvian carrier operates ten rotations per week between Riga and Gatwick during the summer season reducing to seven in the winter months. “Riga to London is by far the most popular city-pairing for travellers starting or finishing their journey in the Baltic region,” said Martin Gauss, airBaltic’s CEO. “We are very pleased to add British Airways, UK’s largest international airline and one of the world’s leading global premium carriers, to our growing family of code-share partners and to jointly serve passengers on the busy Riga-London market,” he added.
