In terms of wrapping up the story of Soft Cell, fans of the synth-pop duo have been well rewarded over the course of the past year or so – with a farewell gig at London’s O2, a documentary and a career-encompassing boxset. On the literary side, Marc Almond presented his role in the story aeons ago in his autobiography Tainted Life, therefore leaving the final testimony to come from Dave Ball’s own book, Electronic Boy: My Life In And Out Of Soft Cell.
