A decade since Lindsey Buckingham’s last solo album, stock in Fleetwood Mac has risen markedly, thanks to touring and a new generation of admirers. Both recently won and veteran fans will delight in how he plays to his strengths here, whether in opener Scream’s muted songwriting simplicity, On The Wrong Side’s multi-layered harmonies or Blue Light’s fingerpicked jollity, which wouldn’t outstay its welcome at twice the length. Time adds a slightly syrupy Mediterranean feel, but joining him in Santa Rosa is highly recommended.
