Rings Around The World became the first album to be released simultaneously as a DVD, with videos for each song. They got Paul McCartney to guest on Beach Boys-y harmony pop moment Receptacle For The Respectable – Macca’s celery chewing in the background a nod to his contributions to the BB’s Smile recording sessions.
The mad excess of the time is exemplified by this 20th anniversary reissue being released in two parts, three weeks apart, to cater for all 82 extra tracks. Yes, that’s EIGHTY-TWO bonus songs.
