The all-new December issue of FlyPast features a World War Two icon on the cover, the fearsome Messerschmitt Bf 109G. Featuring air-to-air photography from the lens of John Dibbs, we interview this remarkable warbird’s pilot about what it’s like to fly. What makes this ’109 especially interesting is that it was actually converted from a Spanish-built Hispano that participated in the Battle of Britain film.

LYSANDER SPOTLIGHT
Our 20+ page Spotlight section focuses on the famous Westland Lysander, one of the most readily identifiable aircraft of World War Two. The ‘Lizzie’ was most famously used for clandestine ‘ops’, such as transporting secret agents in and out of enemy territory. We look at its history, profile those who flew the type and examine its other roles in warfare.

MEMORIAL FLIGHT
