Choosing the garments this month was a lot of fun. With a distinct preppy feel and a bright, summery palette, the shoot got off to a promising start. Unfortunately, we had been lulled into a false sense of security, as the skies abruptly turned a shade of grey usually reserved for a Hammer House of Horror film and the heavens opened. But, not to be defeated, we ran in and out of the gardens, dodging the rain and grabbing fleeting moments of sunshine before succumbing to the indoor option. British Summertime had arrived. The collection has a lovely, fresh feel, featuring a pretty mix of pastel pinks, blues and lilacs with delicate cables, touches of Fairisle and Argyle diamonds, all in traditional styles with a contemporary feel.
