RACE-DAY TIPS
Now that you’ve done all of the training, your focus is likely to shift to the day itself. Use these tips to help in the final weeks leading up to your race.
Get organised
Acouple of days before race day is the time to get yourself organised. It will take a lot of stress off race-day morning if all you have to do is get out of bed and go. Write your emergency information on the back of your bib number and pin it to the top you’re going to be wearing. Lay out everything that you are wearing and pack your bag if you’re planning on leaving some stuff at the bag drop. Some warm clothes, snacks and comfy shoes for afterwards are essential. Make sure you discuss with your supporters where you’re likely to see them out on the course. Nail down the details as it can be really disheartening if you were hoping to see friends or family at a certain point and you end up missing them because you were looking the wrong way.
