Deon Cross crashes over for a try
NEWCASTLE scored three tries in the final ten minutes to force a draw in their first Championship match since 2009.
Having previously withstood the home side’s attempts to eat into a 14-point half-time deficit, Widnes appeared to have the game in the bag.
But Thunder had other ideas, and with both teams down to twelve men, launched their late onslaught, with the Vikings relieved that only one of those home scores was converted.
