Gareth Widdop’s try just before half-time came from deep and involved some glorious interplay by the Wolves, with Toby King giving the final pass.
WARRINGTON WOLVES are back on track!
That was the message from this game, as the Wolves brushed aside a gallant challenge from Leigh Centurions, leading 22-0 at half-time and going on to double their score in the second half, although Leigh did touch down twice and their spirit was demonstrated by Ryan Brierley scoring the last try of the game for them on 78 minutes.
Both Warrington and Leigh came into this game on the back of defeats in Round 1, with the Wolves having disappointed against Castleford and Leigh having probably exceeded expectations when narrowly failing to beat Wigan.
