DISTINGTON, who were only 16-14 ahead at half-time in the HOLMEN IGGESUND CUMBERLAND LEAGUE fixture at KELLS A, stepped up a gear in the second period to prevail 46-14.
Kells were unable to add to tries by Ashton Sice, Dan Grears and Martin O’Neil – one of which Kieran Fleming improved – while Jack Penrice scored a hat-trick for the visitors, Gav Martin bagged a brace and Scott George, Tyrone Dalton, James Motum and Jack Speight raced in, with Stephen Clark converting five efforts.
