ON A MISSION
DOUG THOMSON talks to the man who is aiming to help Midlands Hurricanes kick up a storm
MIDLANDS HURRICANES are on the march - and newlyinstalled general manager Karl Walker believes taking a match 'on the road' will help him publicise the Birmingham club's big ambitions.
The League One side usually use the second city's Alexander Stadium, and are set to switch from the warm-up area to the main arena next year once post-Commonwealth Games reconfiguration work has taken place.
But their game against Hunslet on Sunday, July 9 has been moved to Derby Rugby Union Club's Haslams Lane ground with the Hurricanes, formerly Coventry Bears, continuing their mission to spread the Rugby League gospel.
