Adam Keighran beats Josh Thewlis for Catalans’ opening try
THE POST-DARYL POWELL era started with defeat for Warrington Wolves against a consistent and solid Catalans Dragons who were particularly efficient in the first half.
Interim Wolves coach Gary Chambers said: ”I’m massively proud because of what they’ve gone through this week.
“I asked for effort, that’s all we could work on. Our smarts were not there, and they have probably not bought into what we’re trying to get them to do at the moment because of the amount of time we’ve had with them.
“But if you look at areas in the game, for example when they got Joe Philbin for the incorrect play-the-ball, we were strong then. Sam Kasiano had no reason to cover back right at the end of the game and try and knock that ball out.
