THE autumnal equivalent of the cuckoo, at least in Rugby League terms, seems to be the announcement of rule changes for the forthcoming season and beyond.
As such it was no surprise that the Rugby Football League issued, late last week, a press release confirming a series of amendments to existing onfield regulations, to take effect from the beginning of the 2024 campaigns at all levels.
Those rule changes are dealt with elsewhere in today’s issue of League Express. The only other input for me, dealing as I do with the amateur scene, is exactly when the tweaks are to be applied for those winter-based competitions that are currently up and running.
